Every order. On video. Dispute-proof.

The silent cost of “small” claims

Malaysian e-commerce sellers know the pattern: order ships, courier confirms delivery, and then the message arrives — “box sampai kosong”, “saya tak terima barang”, or a parcel-swap accusation. The product value is only part of the loss. You also lose the refund, the dispute time, and a slice of trust with every claim you can’t prove.

Screenshots don’t settle these disputes. Timestamps can be argued, chat logs can be cropped, and a photo of a packed box doesn’t show what actually left your hands.

Why video evidence changes the equation

A continuous, timestamped video of the order being packed creates a record that is hard to argue with:

  • What was packed — the actual item, not a photo staged after the fact
  • When it was packed — a burned-in timestamp ties the clip to the order moment
  • That it left intact — seal and packaging condition visible before handover
  • Who can verify it — an evidence link the buyer (and the dispute team) can open

This isn’t surveillance. It’s a proof layer that protects honest sellers and honest buyers alike — the difference between he-said-she-said and here’s the video.

The claims that actually hurt sellers

Most sellers we talk to in Malaysian marketplace communities describe the same handful of dispute patterns:

  1. Empty-box claims — buyer says the box arrived empty, item missing.
  2. Parcel-swap claims — buyer says the parcel they received wasn’t what they ordered (and returns something else).
  3. Item-not-received — buyer says delivery never happened, despite courier confirmation.
  4. Wrong-item / damaged-on-arrival — condition disputes that swing on packaging proof.

What all four have in common: they’re decided on evidence. Sellers who can produce a clean, timestamped packing record start from a much stronger position than sellers who can only offer screenshots and assurances.

Proof is an operations decision, not a hope

The practical challenge isn’t whether to record — it’s how to record every order without slowing down the packing line. That’s why Packory is built hands-free:

  • AWB barcode detected automatically → recording starts by itself
  • UTC timestamp burned into every frame
  • Thumbs-up stops the clip — packers never touch the screen
  • Video syncs to your own Google Drive in the background
  • Evidence link reaches the buyer on WhatsApp before the parcel even ships

When proof is automatic, it actually happens — on every order, not just the ones you’re worried about. And the disputes you never see are the ones that pay for the system.

Building trust as a competitive advantage

Proof doesn’t just win disputes. Sellers who consistently send packing evidence build a reputation buyers can feel — fewer “is this seller reliable?” doubts, fewer chargeback headaches, and a cleaner seller rating over time.

That’s the direction Malaysian e-commerce is heading: the sellers who treat evidence as infrastructure, not as an afterthought, are the ones who scale without the fraud tax.
